Below are sketches of spreads depicting a pinnacle moment in Lily’s story where her shyness and soft speaking have gotten her fed up and pressed for time. After failing to speak up multiple times to gain help from others and nearly getting turned into a flower, she returns to the owl, but this time she speaks up instead of hiding behind objects/her hair.
